Theatre Americana's Production of

Bios and Credits

PAUL ANDERSON (Sheriff Hutto) This is Paul's second show at Theatre Americana. He appeared last season as the Scottish Inspector in The Will of George. He also directed and acted in Theatre Americana's first staged reading of the season The Live-In. Paul enjoys his association with Theatre Americana and hopes it continues.

WILLIAM FERGUSON (Billy Ladnier) started acting while in prison in Georgia. Upon being released in 1974 he came to California and joined Beverly Bishop Theatre. He has done many plays over the last twenty years, and some film work. He is a member of SAG and AFTRA. He has lived in the Pasadena area for almost 19 years.

ELIZABETH FINN (Joanne) is pleased to be appearing a second time with Theatre Americana, having just completed The Stagehand. She has appeared in a variety of plays in the LA area as well as Dallas, Texas - her home town. Her favorite role was Meg (whose father was a scientist) in A Wrinkle in Time. Add that to spending two weeks in college considering a major in biology/botany along with her love of science fiction and it is clear she was made to play the role of a scientist. Hmm, well, she's smart anyway (at least she thinks so). She would like to mention that although lab animals are mentioned in the show, no animals have been harmed or even harassed in preparing the presentation of this play

ANDY FOREST (Eli) is mostly water like most people, but oh, he is so much more. Yes he could be reduced ot a pile of chemicals, but what good would that do anybody? Andy attributes his success to the Linemen of the county who keep the electricity and telephone lines in good repair. Andy is left handed. He also performs comedy and improvisation at the L.A. Connection, in Sherman Oaks. Andy is wash and wear and should be kept out of direct sunlight. Some assembly required. Batteries included.

TODD KRAUS (Chip) was last seen on this very stage as Matthew Barnett in The Stagehand, produced by Theatre Americana. Halloween marks Todd's second aniversary to the city of angels. In that time hs has been in three USC films, four theatrical productions, and has been in the background on numerous films and television shows. He would like to thank his family, friends, and the prime power above us all.

LISA NATALE (Mozelle) got her first taste of the acting bug at age 8 after playing Gretchen in The Three Billy Goats Gruff. That moment she knew exactly what she was destined to be; as starving, struggling, aspiring actor. Since then she has had a colorful acting career. She recently relocated to the West Coast from New York City where she dabbled in film and theatre. She has performed at the Eklectic Theatre, the Stella Adler Theatre, and Playhouse of the Foothills. Lisa is happy to be making her second appearance at Theatre Americana.

VIRGINIA SPECKMEN (Nita-Kay) is a native of Eugene, Oregon. She graduated this year from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and also studied this summer at the British American Drama Academy in Oxford.

LISA COVELL (Director) is extremely honored to direct her first production with Theatre Americana. Sharing her passion for theatre and life all over the country, she has eagerly arrived in Los Angeles fresh from Chicago where some of her directing credits include Beauty & the Beast, Romeo & Juliet, Fools, Brilliant Traces, Fame and Dance Director - Indiana University Northwest. Some of her Los Angeles credits include choreography for Salome and Kick-Ass Militia (Drama-Logue Award recipient) for the Actors' Gang and Macabaret for West Coast Ensemble. She would like to thank her "new family" for their support, friendship, and sharing their abundant creative energy!!

ERIC GONZALEZ (Stange Manager) From Pasadena, Eric has appeared in a variety of plays including The Odd Couple, Inherit the Wind, 36 and The Sound of Music. Wonderfully versatile, he also plays the piano (and recently took up the violin), practices the martial arts, sings lead in the Pasadena Barber Shop Quartet, works in the aerospace field, and is a member of the California Air National Guard.

THEATRE AMERICANA (Producer), the community theatre of Altadena, is in its 66th year of producing original plays by American authors. TA is the oldest community theatre in the country dedicated to performing original scripts.
