KATHERINE BISACCIO (Cutiepie) is a newcomer to The
Players. She has worked with a theater group in Clearlake, and has taken drama
classes in school. She lives and works in Lakeport.
JAMES COLFORD (Phyllis) is one of the
"regulars" who is active as cast or crew of almost every production
staged by The Players. As he puts it, he was born in New York City, "quite
some time ago", and enjoyed the theatre there while growing up. His first
performance in Lake County was in 1987 in Something's Afoot. Jim is one
of the most talented actors in the area, with a large and varied range of
performances. Some of the plays he has been in include The Wizard Of Oz,
Carousel, The Odd Couple, Lend Me A Tenor, Play It Again Sam, The Night Is My
Enemy, Annie Get Your Gun, Rumors, and Mornings At Seven, just to
name a few! He has an enviable reputation for never missing a rehearsal, and for
being a quick and accurate study. He lives in Lakeport with his also quite
talented son, Patrick.
PATRICK COLFORD (Plato) Patrick, a student at a local high school, is the first true second generation Player to be cast in a major role in a Players production. Son of veteran actor James Colford, he has had his apprenticeship working on the house committees and the crew of several productions. He has had minor supporting roles in Annie Get Your Gun. He is cast as Plato, a nerdy teen-ager computer whiz who precedes every comment with a quotation and has taken on the persona of an adult. He was cast in the part only three weeks before opening night and put some older cast members to the test by learning his lines in record time.
LINDA GUEBERT (Nadine) is an accomplished vocalist,
and has had singing and dancing parts in our musical productions Oklahoma!,
Annie Get Your Gun, and Carousel. Her parts in Carousel and Mornings
At Seven were supporting roles. She has also contributed as a backstage
crewmember, including sound reinforcement for Play It Again Sam. Linda
lives in Clearlake, and is a school teacher.
HANK PORTER (Cheese) is best remembered for his
gripping role as Judd in Oklahoma!, as well as supporting roles in The
Odd Couple and Rumors, as well as the male lead in Love Letters.
He has also served as box office chairman on several productions. Hank also has
a reputation as a quick study, and being prompt and reliable for ANY Players
activities. Hank is retired as Flood Control Officer for Lake County. He and his
wife, Barbara, live in Lakeport.
NORMAN "WINK" WINCKLER (Horndog) is
another new member to the Players, however, he is not new to theater. Wink has
been active in Community Theater since the tender age of 9. He has acted or been
a crew member in more than 50 plays at various venues around the country. His
performances have seen him in Chicago, New Jersey, Memphis, and Brazil. Locally,
he has appeared in Man of La Mancha and Thunder Rock with the
Ukiah Players, and most recently in Heartland, a movie filmed in
Mendocino County. He works as a mechanic at a local resort and resides in
Kelseyville.
FRANK PERRY (Director) A retired high school drama teacher, he has been active in the Lakeport Community Players for the past 15 years. He is best remembered as director of the highly acclaimed OKLAHOMA! and Annie Get Your Gun as well as the producer of Carousel. Other plays he has directed include Play it Again, Sam and Rumors. He has been cast in leading and supporting roles in such plays as The Odd Couple, The Night is My Enemy and Mornings at Seven. He is the perennial villain in the annual melodrama except for the premier production of True Blue and Trusted, when he was the singing saloon bartender. He has been involved in the production of the Annual Outdoor Lake County Passion Play since its inception in 1981 and has played the role of Herod for several years. He is treasurer of the Players. He lives in Lucerne with his wife Audrey, who is the Players' pianist.
KEN KYSELY (Assistant Director and Narrator) has been a mainstay of the Players almost since its founding 20 years ago. In addition to carrying roles in more than 30 plays, he has a strong background as a stage manager, light and sound coordinator, set builder and construction foreman. He has been a mainstay in the annual melodramas and was a co-lead in The Odd Couple. Recently he was in Rumors and Mornings at Seven. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Players. He lives in Clearlake.
SUNNI LIRETTE (Technical Advisor) is relatively new to the Players, but has already carved an enviable reputation as the heroine in the 1997 Melodrama and as a long-suffering fiancée in Mornings at Seven. For ten years she sang country and rock music with a group in the Pacific states. She has served on the House Committee. She is currently the Computer co-ordinator for the Lakeport City Schools and is active as a volunteer in the renovation of the Soper-Reese Theater as well as an office assistant and computer advisor for the Lake County Arts Council. She is a member of the Executive Committee of the Players. She lives in Kelseyville with her husband, Andre, also an accomplished musician and the sound technician for Nobody Knows I'm a Dog.
TOM GILLIAM (Assistant to the Director/House Manager) has been active in the Players since 1991. He was publicity manager for OKLAHOMA!, prop manager for The Odd Couple, second lead for Lend Me a Tenor, had a bit part in Annie Get Your Gun and was cast in a supporting role in The Night Is My Enemy. He was House manager for Carousel, produced the 1996 Melodrama and directed Love Letters and Mornings at Seven. He is public relations chairman and membership chairman for the Players and is secretary of the Executive Committee. He served two terms as president of the Lake County Arts Council and currently is chairman of the Soper-Reese Community Theater Project. A member of the Passion Play Board of Directors, he is a retired public relations executive living in the county north of Lakeport.
KEN BLYTHE (Posters & Programs) is serving his third term as President of the Players. He is a self taught computer whiz and utilizes his electronic equipment to set type and design for posters and programs. He also lives in Lakeport and is also active with the auto races at the Lake County Fairgrounds.
