Gothic North Community Theatre's Production of

Photos, Bios and Credits

PAUL MALIKOWSKI (Phyllis) Paul is very pleased to join the Gothic North Theater company, having completed three prior acting assignments with RLT since 1995, each time cast as a lawyer. Finally avoiding being typecast by Gothic North, Paul's talents naturally led to being cast as this production's word processing operator for a (you guessed it) law firm. His nineteen years as a practicing attorney in Northern Nevada has resulted in numerous credits in the theater of the absurd. You can write your own reviews at www.nvlaw.com.

KENNETH OSTROM (Cheese) Where to begin? A long time ago, a young person was given a gift to expand and thrive, with the potential to make people happy. Kenneth's span in the acting world has contained many emotions; from being happy and funny in plays like The Girl in the Freudian Slip and As You Like It to being mean and serious in plays like Dracula and The Miracle Worker. Now comes a new challenge. Will Kenneth be nice or mean? Only the Shadow knows!

STEVE PEARSON (Horndog) This is Steve's third show for Gothic North, having appeared as Nick in Bedroom Farce and as the Ranger in Brothers. He has also appeared as Professor Van Helsing in RLT's Dracula. When he's not on stage, Steve is busy raising two kids and doing competitive fencing. He someday hopes to combine theater and fencing by performing as Cyrano de Bergerac.

KRISTINA PFAFF-HARRIS (Nadine) has been an Air Traffic Controller in the U.S. Army, and has worked as an actress, singer, photographer, graphic artist, freelance journalist, and marketing consultant. Currently she is employed as a professional computer geek with Great Basin Internet Services. She has appeared recently in Gothic North's Mama Drama and Reno Little Theater's Nunsense and Nunsense II; where she was nominated for the Blythe Award as Best Actress for her role as Sister Robert Ann.

GREGORY ROBERTSON (Plato) Greg has a rather formidable challenge. He combines his acting talents with a full high school schedule. He is a sophomore at Galena High School, and his activities outside the theater include both Boy Scouts and ROTC. Greg has appeared in Gothic North's Best Christmas Pageant Ever, and he has the added pressure of being the son of the group's Executive Director. This is his first major role in theater, a part well-suited to his personality and abilities.

KATHY SHARKEY (Cutiepie) This is my first show at Gothic North and I am proud to be part of this first season. I have done many, many plays around Reno. Recently I did Nunsense and Nunsense II. You may also recognize many of us from RLT's "Dracula" last October. We work well together, so enjoy this original work as much as we enjoy doing it.

JOHN RANDALL (Director) John Randall joined the theater community in '96 for Gothic North's production of A Christmas Carol. He was given the privilege of playing the lead, Charles Dickens, who tells the story of and then becomes Scrooge. John then drifted over to Reno Little Theater where he has created characters like... a slow witted southern girl, an imaginary son, a Shakespearean suitor, a blood sucking vampire, and a supportive older brother. He received RLT's Blythe Award for "Best Bit Part" in recognition of his portrayal of Delightful (the slow witted southern girl) in Dearly Departed. This marks John's return to Gothic North and his first foray into the hidden aspects of theater production. He is also a model and has been praised for the size of his... thyroid.

GINA HART (Assistant Director) My name is Gina Hart. I'm the Assistant Director for Nobody Knows I'm A Dog. I'm half of the radio show "Gina and Bob in the Morning" (guess which half) on Alice @ 96.5. I love watching the process of a group of actors taking a script and bringing it to life. This is my 2nd A.D. "gig" since I've been in Reno. My first play was RLT's Dracula last year.
