Late, Great ... Well, Late.

I love Beari Productions. They believe in me far more than I belive in myself.

They've decided to do a program of one-acts and want me to be part of it. Now, I'm admittedly not a fan of one-acts, but I do have a small collection of them I've done, mostly as competition pieces. Almost all of them have won something or another.

So, I threw a few at my unbiological daughter, Jessica Petschauer, of whom I asked to direct. She ultimately settled on "The Late, Great Hawkins Long." I wrote this one back in the early 90's as a competition piece, and it wound up winning the contest I wrote it for. It's melodrama, which isn't my forte. But it's interesting, at least.

We got a cast fairly fast. The tough part is finding a place to rehearse. It goes up in about a month and none of the one-acts have even started to rehearse yet!

I'll keep you posted.
